It's so much fun to teach and learn using the matic unit studies! I love taking a theme such as a holiday or special topic and relating it to many curricula areas!.. Because Learning and fun should go hand in hand! Children love to apply their learning to something they relate to, something enjoyable, something that will stick long after the lessons are done. Why not connect a holiday which comes every year to everyday learning objectives? Since I enjoy holidays, I like to create lesson plans related to them! These language arts and math suggestions are ones I collected and thought would be exciting during March, near Saint Patrick's Day! They focus around grammar, spelling and vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, penmanship, counting, addition and subtraction, multiplication, graphing, estimating, and more. I hope they make the entire learning process memorable for all the children!
