We have visited the Elly Yuriyev Museum and Picture Gallery that is in Isakovo, our neighbour village. We all are satisfied with this trip. WE have find out a lot of interesting things and facts from the outstanding artist's life.

 

  

 

Ellie Mikhaylovich Yuryev (on March 25 1936, the Isakovo village of the Krasnoarmeysky region of Chuvashia — on January 17 2001) — the national artist of Chuvashia, the winner of the State award of the Chuvash Republic, the honourable citizen  of Cheboksary, the author of the coat of arms and the flag of the Chuvash Republic, the coat of arms of the capital of Chuvashia.  He was the distinguished master stylist, the esthete always aspiring to create works penetrated by beauty, grace and elegance. Ellie Yuryev, brought up in Tbilisi academy of Arts on the Georgian school of painting, graphics and sculpture, became the outstanding personality not only in heraldry and a veksillografiya, but also in other types and art genres, in all spiritual life of Chuvashiya of the second half of the XX century. The gifted artist distinctly understood the special place in the history of culture and art of Chuvashiya, wrote in the diary: «I am once again convinced that I напахал for HUNDRED years forward. Yes – in everything. If only descendants didn't forget that I made it …».
