Children's Book Day is an annual event, which is held on around April 2, the
birth date of Hans Christian Andersen. It is sponsored by the International
Board on Books for Young People (IBBY).
According to the IBBY Web site, "International Children's Book Day (ICBD)
is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books".- from The Internet Page. We have experienced today An Exciting Book Quiz! The pupils of the 7th Form have done it with pleasure. The nominations of the Winners went to Irina Gavrilova (2nd place) and to Igor Krasnov and Anastasia Stepanova (3rd places). They got pleasant and useful preasents - colorful bookmarks - from their English Teacher . Nobody could do the quiz totally correctly and no one could win the first prize. May be the next year book quiz will give a chance to someone to get the top place. By the way, can you guess a riddle of mine? A very good and useful friend of any book is ... - what is it? Yes, a bookmark!!!
